We get a lot of questions about the GVWR listing as it applies to our boat & trailer packages.  Whether you’re a first-time boat owner or a seasoned veteran, it’s important to know and worth covering here.  Most importantly, the GVWR provides boaters with the maximum combined weight of the boat, trailer, motor, fuel and gear – which eliminates the hassle of weighing these items individually to make sure your tow vehicle can handle the load.  In the case of your Ranger boat and trailer, it is not only recommended, but necessary to make sure the GVWR of your boat & trailer package (5000 for instance) is within the maximum allowance as stated in the tow vehicle’s owner’s manual.
