Fuel Conservation With Carl Svebek

When running my Ranger Z520 for long distances in many tournaments, I try to be as conservative as possible on fuel.  I have found that especially during those long practice days and spending a lot of time behind the wheel, I will trim my Evinrude up after getting it on plane with about 3/4 throttle.  The lift is so exceptional on my Ranger that it will give me the best ride at a reasonable speed, and I will save a ton on fuel.  I presently have a new Evinrude I-Command on my boat which lets me know how much fuel I am burning.  It's amazing how much this little tip will save you, especially when you’re running up and down the Lake or River.
